Tambopata Research Trip - June-July, 2014 (70 of 70)

We saw tapirs a couple of times and heard them more (especially at night as they lumbered over the rocks toward the river). One mornig we saw one in our camp (but missed the photo!). As these tracks suggest, we must have camped right in the middle of this guy's usual path to the river. The sight of a big blue object on the bar seems to have made it reconsider its route!
